ZLK Islamic Financial Services Inaugurates “NUML Equity Lounge” to Promote Financial Literacy and Stock Market Awareness

Islamabad — ZLK Islamic Financial Services and the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) have launched the NUML Equity Lounge, a facility aimed at increasing financial literacy and providing students access to stock market resources.

NUML Equity Lounge launched at campus

The equity lounge was inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, NUML Rector Major General (R) Shahid Kiyani, and ZLK Chairman Zahid Latif Khan. The initiative was developed in collaboration with NUML’s Department of Accounting and Finance.

Facility to provide market data and investment resources

According to the organisers, the NUML Equity Lounge will offer real-time market information, analytical tools, research material, and guidance on Shariah-compliant investment practices. The centre is designed to help students better understand how Pakistan’s capital markets operate.

Officials highlight need for financial awareness

At the event, officials discussed the importance of improving financial literacy among students. They noted that access to practical resources could help young people develop skills in areas such as risk management, ethical investing, and capital market participation.

Lounge to support student access and industry interaction

The facility, located in the Ibn-e-Rushd Block at NUML, will allow students to interact with financial professionals and includes QR-enabled account opening support. Representatives said the centre aims to strengthen links between academic learning and market-based experience.

ZLK Islamic Financial Services continues engagement with academic institutions

ZLK Islamic Financial Services stated that the initiative is part of its broader effort to promote Shariah-compliant investment education and increase understanding of Pakistan’s financial system among young people.
