KARACHI: Pakistani actress Zara Noor Abbas has captured the attention of social media users after sharing a heartwarming dance video featuring her mother and veteran actress Asma Abbas.
The mother-daughter duo can be seen dancing together in traditional outfits, with fans praising their warmth, affection and close bond.
In the video shared on Instagram, Zara and Asma Abbas dance to songs by renowned musician A.R. Rahman and other artists. Dressed in coordinated traditional attire, the two appeared to enjoy the moment and each other’s company.
For Zara, however, the video represented more than a memorable dance with her mother. In an emotional caption, she reflected on how certain habits, expressions and emotions can pass from one generation to another without being formally taught.
Zara said she never specifically learned all her dance steps from her mother, yet while dancing, she naturally finds herself sensing and following Asma’s rhythm and movements. She added that over the years, she has unconsciously learned many small things about life from her mother, many of which continue to appear in her own mannerisms and personality.
The actress also shared a touching anecdote about dancing with her mother. According to Zara, whenever she makes a mistake during a dance step, Asma gently places a hand on her shoulder, brings her closer and tells her, “Let me show you here.”
Zara said her mother continues to guide her in the same loving and caring way in many small aspects of life.
In her caption, Zara reflected on how some things are taught to us while others are passed down through generations, describing her relationship with her mother as one of the most beautiful bonds in her life.
The video received an enthusiastic response from fans and fellow celebrities. Actress Hira Mani reacted with heart emojis, while Hira Khan commented, “Uff maa sadqay!” Actress Hina Afridi and other social media users also shared affectionate comments about the mother-daughter duo.
