SWAT: An annual Funfair was organized in “Zamung Kor”, an institution for state children established by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in Kanju town of Swat district here on Wednesday.
The children, utilizing their hidden talents, set up stalls of art works and models made by hand along with other items and dishes.
On this occasion, stalls of home products made by women’s hands were also set up by Darul-Aman Swat and other organizations.
The Funfair was inaugurated by Saeed Khan, Chairman of Tehsil Council Kabal Tehsil, along with Assistant Commissioner Kabal, Aftab Ahmed, and Director of Zamung Kor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Najam Ul Sahar.
The Chief Guest and other participants visited the stalls set-up by the children and appreciated their art and skills.
The children of Zamung Kor also showed their skills on the music stage and entertained the participants.
Assistant Director Zamong Corps Swat Farman Ali gave a detailed briefing regarding the institution, said that this institution was established in 2021 by the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and currently 104 children are being educated and sponsored in the institution.
“Along with education, they are given different skills and different computer courses,” he said.
Director of Zamung Kor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Najam Ul Sahar said that our effort is to provide high quality education to the children of Zamung Kor established in every area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and to give them the necessary skills and training so that they can develop their skills in every field, added that our am to they prove to be a useful citizen of the society.
Talha and Anas, state children in Zamung Kor, said that we feel very safe in this institution and we don’t even realize that our parents are not there.
They said that teachers treat us like parents. Therefore, we also resolve that we will study and learn every skill so that we can play our role for our country Pakistan in the future.
