Karachi: BYD, in partnership with Mega Motor Company (MMC), delivered 100 Atto 2 electric vehicles to customers across Pakistan in a single day, marking a notable expansion in the country’s growing electric vehicle market.

The deliveries were carried out simultaneously in multiple cities through BYD’s dealerships and experience centres, reflecting the company’s expanding retail and customer network. The milestone comes amid increasing interest in electric mobility as consumers look for alternatives to conventional fuel-powered vehicles.

The Atto 2 model is positioned as an urban electric vehicle designed for cost-efficient daily use. Industry observers note that rising fuel prices and evolving consumer preferences are contributing to the gradual shift towards electric vehicles in Pakistan.

The development follows BYD’s recent introduction of additional models, including the Sealion 7, as the company expands its presence in the local market. Officials said the broader product portfolio aims to cater to different segments of electric vehicle users.
