TIMERGARA: The District Youth Office Malakand, in collaboration with the District Administration Malakand, organized a one-day drug awareness session on October 21, 2026, at Jinnah Hall, Oxford College Batkhela.
Held on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Malakand Arif Khan Yousafzai and Director Directorate of Youth Affairs Peshawar Dr Noman Mujahid, the session was titled “Drug Awareness: Youth Against Drugs – Awareness, Prevention and Journey towards a Drug-Free Society.”
Guest speakers Shahzada and Zar Yousafzai addressed participants and highlighted the harmful effects of drug use on individuals and society. They also emphasized the role of young people in preventing drug addiction and promoting awareness and collective action.
Ms Shaista Gul Khattak attended the event as chief guest. In her address, she stressed the need to educate young people about the dangers of drugs and encouraged them to adopt healthy lifestyles, make responsible decisions and contribute to building a drug-free society.
At the conclusion of the session, participation certificates were distributed among attendees. Shields and gifts were also presented to guest speakers and other distinguished guests in recognition of their participation and services.
