WhatsApp has introduced a new and useful feature for one-on-one chats. This feature helps users organize events with friends or family members during one-on-one conversations, making it easier to plan tasks or occasions without the need for other apps.
According to a report from Wabetainfo, this feature was previously available for group chats and communities, but now it has been extended to one-on-one chats as well. Currently, it is being introduced in the beta version, and it appears that WhatsApp is aiming to compete with apps like Google Calendar and similar services.
The feature allows users to set deadlines for tasks with their friends. Once an event is set on WhatsApp, both participants will be reminded about it simultaneously. When you invite someone to an event, it will be up to them to accept or decline the invitation.
As mentioned earlier, this feature is currently in the beta phase, and it is unclear when it will be available to all users.
