THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: India star batter Virat Kohli reached another major milestone in one-day international cricket after scoring an unbeaten 139 against the West Indies in the first ODI in Thiruvananthapuram.
Kohli faced 88 deliveries and struck 10 fours and a career-best nine sixes during his innings. The performance saw him surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the most ODI runs scored in India.
Kohli reached 7,006 ODI runs in India, moving past Tendulkar’s previous mark of 6,976 runs.

The innings also saw Kohli become only the second batter to reach 15,000 runs in ODI cricket, achieving the milestone during his 55th ODI century.
Kohli’s unbeaten 139 added another significant chapter to his international career, while his performance against the West Indies helped him move beyond one of Tendulkar’s long-standing records on home soil.
