SHANGLA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received a political boost in Shangla as veteran Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Jafar Khan announced his decision to join PTI after 35 years with the party.
Jafar Khan made the announcement at a PTI induction ceremony in Koz Kana Buresht, joining the party along with his family and supporters. The event was attended by PTI leaders, workers, local elders and political figures.
PTI Leaders Welcome New Entrants
Addressing the gathering, PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spokesman and central leader Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said the party continued to enjoy public support and that political and social figures were joining PTI in different parts of the province, particularly in Shangla.
Yousafzai welcomed Jafar Khan and his associates, saying their inclusion would contribute to the party’s organizational and political activities in the district.
Former Tehsil Chairman Bisham Haji Sadeed Ur Rehman also welcomed the new entrants and said they would be given respect and opportunities to participate in party activities.
Jafar Khan Announces End of PML-N Association
Speaking at the ceremony, Jafar Khan formally announced the end of his 35-year association with PML-N and expressed confidence in PTI’s leadership and manifesto.
He said he, along with his family and associates, would support PTI and contribute to strengthening the party.
The ceremony was attended by PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Deputy Secretary Nawaz Mahmood Khan, former Tehsil Chairman Alpuri Waqar Ahmad Khan, District President Liaqat Ali Yousafzai, Senior Vice President Habib Ur Rehman and senior leader Fawad Ali Noor.
District spokesman Qari Islamzada, Tehsil Kana President Zaheer Abbas Khan, Deputy General Secretary Khair Ul Bashar, Koz Kana President Maulana Khair Ul Afsar and a large number of party workers were also present.
PTI leaders described Jafar Khan’s joining as a development that would strengthen the party’s presence in Shangla and reiterated their commitment to organizational activities and addressing public issues.
