UPPER DIR : The District adminstration under leadership Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir, Naveed Akbar was organized a rally on October 27, “Kashmir Black Day,” to express solidarity with Kashmiris.
on the occasion Additional DC Finance & Planning Omar bin Riaz, Tehsildar Dir, official from all departments, citizens, civil society were also attended.
The national anthem was played, followed by a minute of silence. Participants formed a human chain and walked from the DC Office to Paraw Pul, raising slogans in support of Pakistan and Kashmir.
DC Naveed Akbar has said, that October, 27 is observed as Black Day to highlight Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom, expose Indian atrocities, and urge the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue according to UN resolutions.
He said Pakistani and Kashmiries Demand for self-determination rights and also convyed the message to International community must play role in resolving Kashmir issue.
