LOWER DIR: Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Lower Dir, Dr. Iza Arshad, visited the New Vegetable Market and General Bus Stand in Timergara to review cleanliness, administrative arrangements, basic public facilities and security measures.

The visit was conducted under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Good Governance Roadmap and the District Service Delivery Programme.

During her inspection of the New Vegetable Market, Dr. Iza Arshad reviewed parking arrangements, washrooms and other basic facilities. She directed the relevant authorities to complete all pending construction and development work at the new market on a priority basis so that the existing vegetable market could be shifted to the new site.

She said relocating the vegetable market would help reduce traffic congestion in the city, improve traffic flow and ease transportation difficulties for residents.

Later, at the General Bus Stand in Timergara, the Additional Deputy Commissioner inspected staff attendance, the availability of metal detectors, the installation and functionality of CCTV cameras, first-aid kits and fire-safety arrangements.

The visit aimed to improve facilities for the public and passengers, strengthen security arrangements and enhance the quality of government service delivery.
