Mumbai authorities have tightened security around Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s residence and Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert after a threat email reportedly warned of attacks targeting both.
According to Indian media reports, the Mumbai mayor’s office received an email threatening an attack on Bachchan’s bungalow and disruption at Dosanjh’s concert scheduled for November. Police and other security agencies responded by searching the locations mentioned in the message.
Security Measures Increased
Initial checks reportedly found no suspicious objects or immediate threat at the locations. Authorities have nevertheless reviewed security arrangements and increased precautions around the residences of prominent film personalities and major cultural events.
Investigations into the threatening email are ongoing, while law enforcement agencies continue to assess the credibility and source of the message.
