TANK: Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Khalid Mahmood Khan has appreciated the role of journalists in highlighting public issues and strengthening communication between citizens and government institutions.
During a visit to the District Press Club in Tank, the SP said journalists play an important role in bringing public grievances to the attention of relevant authorities and contributing to the betterment of society.
He said responsible journalism helps identify issues affecting citizens and facilitates efforts to address them. He also stressed the importance of effective coordination between the police and media in addressing public concerns, maintaining law and order, and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Police-Media Coordination Discussed
During the meeting, Khalid Mahmood Khan held detailed discussions with journalists on the law and order situation in Tank, public complaints and ways to further strengthen cooperation between the police and media.
The journalists welcomed the SP’s visit and said regular interaction between the two sides could improve institutional coordination and help facilitate the resolution of public issues.
