Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has stated that she never used her father Shakti Kapoor’s name to secure work in the industry.
In a recent interview, the star of Aashiqui 2 and Stree revealed that she faced numerous challenges in getting work in Bollywood at the beginning of her career.
She mentioned that making a place for herself in Bollywood was never easy because she never relied on her father’s name to get opportunities. Her father had already advised her not to use his name to enter the industry, but instead, to make a name for herself on her own merits.
Shraddha Kapoor shared that, before her famous role in Aashiqui 2, she had appeared in a few films, but was never noticed. Convincing casting directors to take her seriously was very difficult. However, when she was cast as the heroine in Aashiqui 2 and the film became a huge hit, she started receiving attention and was offered significant roles in films.
It is worth noting that Shraddha Kapoor recently appeared in the film Stree 2, which turned out to be a blockbuster.
