RAWALPINDI, October 23, 2026: Security forces killed 10 terrorists, including a woman, during separate engagements in Gwadar district of Balochistan after militants attempted to carry out attacks near the Gabd Border Crossing and Gwadar city, the military’s media wing said on Friday.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the incidents occurred on October 22, prompting security forces to launch clearance operations in and around Gwadar city to protect residents and restore security.

The military said the militants, whom it described as members of the Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan, had attempted to target locations near the border crossing and within Gwadar city.

ISPR alleged that the attacks were intended to disrupt development activities in Balochistan and undermine the government’s authority in the region.

During separate exchanges of fire, security forces killed 10 militants, including one woman, the statement said.

One civilian was killed during the attacks, while several vehicles sustained damage. No security personnel were killed during the operations, according to ISPR.

The military said the clearance operations had been completed and order restored in the affected areas.

Commenting on the involvement of a female militant, ISPR alleged that the woman had been coerced into participating in the attack.

The statement condemned what it described as the exploitation of Baloch women for militant propaganda, saying such tactics violated the cultural and religious traditions of the region.

ISPR maintained that militant groups were attempting to manipulate public sentiment by involving women in violent activities.

The military further claimed that the people of Balochistan had consistently rejected groups carrying out violence in their name.

Reaffirming its commitment to counterterrorism operations, ISPR said the campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative would continue in accordance with the framework approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

The statement said security forces and law enforcement agencies remained determined to eliminate terrorism and prevent further attacks.

ISPR also reiterated its allegation that militant violence in the country was receiving foreign sponsorship and support.
