ISLAMABAD, October 29, 2026: The Saudi-funded King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Teaching Hospital in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is set for formal inauguration in November following the completion of a $5.5 million project to equip and furnish the healthcare facility.
According to an official document available with Wealth Pakistan, work on the project has been completed, and preparations are underway for the hospital’s formal inauguration.
A delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) is expected to visit the hospital in November 2026 to attend the inauguration ceremony.
The project, launched on September 27, 2018, was originally scheduled for completion by December 31, 2024.
Funded through the Saudi Fund for Development, the initiative aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to medical facilities in Mansehra district.
The completion of the equipment and furnishing project represents another step in development cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, particularly in the healthcare sector.
The hospital’s formal inauguration is expected to mark the completion of the Saudi-supported initiative, although a specific opening date has not yet been announced.
