Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will not host the upcoming episode of Indian reality show Bigg Boss 20 this weekend. Instead, filmmaker Rohit Shetty will take over hosting duties for the special “Weekend Ka Vaar” episode.

Salman Khan had informed the contestants about the change during the episode aired on October 18.

Indian media reports have attributed Salman Khan’s absence to previously scheduled professional commitments. However, his decision to skip the episode comes at a time when his security has again come under scrutiny following a shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle.

According to media reports, an alleged social media message surfaced following the shooting incident, claiming responsibility for the attack and issuing threats against certain members of the Mumbai film industry. The message reportedly also warned people associated with Salman Khan.

In the alleged post, a person identified as Anil Pandit claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and alleged that he and Harman Sandhu were involved in the incident.

The post further claimed that Tiger Shroff had previously been contacted and warned, but was allegedly targeted after failing to comply with the purported warning. It also allegedly threatened other individuals working with Salman Khan or those who did not follow the group’s instructions.

These claims are based on an alleged social media post and should not be treated as judicially established facts.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is known for directing films including Singham, Simmba and Chennai Express. He has also hosted several seasons of the reality adventure show Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Rohit Shetty will now appear as the host of the upcoming “Weekend Ka Vaar” episode of Bigg Boss 20, replacing Salman Khan for the week.
