Rawalpindi Shrine Caretaker Found Dead In Sack, Property Dispute Suspected

A man whose body was found inside a sack in Rawalpindi’s Nullah Lai has been identified as Abbas Raza, the caretaker of a local shrine, according to police sources. Investigators believe the killing was linked to an alleged property dispute, and efforts are underway to arrest the suspects.

Police said the victim was associated with a shrine located within the jurisdiction of City Police Station. Preliminary findings indicate that Abbas Raza was allegedly murdered so that suspects could seize control of his property before disposing of his body in Nullah Lai, where it was later recovered near Gawalmandi.

Police Investigation

According to police sources, Abbas Raza was known to reside in the Chittian Hattian area of Rawalpindi and did not have any children.

Investigators suspect the accused killed him in connection with an alleged attempt to occupy his house. The body was reportedly placed in a sack before being dumped into the drainage channel.

Search For Suspects Continues

Police officials said raids are ongoing to locate and arrest those involved in the case. Authorities have not announced any arrests so far, and the investigation remains in progress.

Officials are continuing to gather evidence to determine the full circumstances surrounding the alleged murder and the reported property dispute.
