A video statement from a child domestic worker who was allegedly abused in Rawalpindi has surfaced, while police have registered a criminal case against the suspect following the circulation of videos on social media. According to police, an FIR has been registered against the suspect, identified as Adil Sajid, under Section 328-A, which relates to cruelty or abuse against children. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.

In his video statement, the victim, Ali Jabar, said he had been assaulted on previous occasions, leaving his arm swollen. He also said injuries to his leg were still visible.

The child alleged that Adil Sajid physically assaulted him after he failed to wash the rooftop. He said he was first scolded and was later beaten after attempting to clean the roof without using water.

Police said the case was registered after videos and posts circulated widely on social media, urging authorities to intervene and protect the child.

According to the FIR, the person who shared the videos claimed to have witnessed repeated incidents of violence from a nearby apartment overlooking the house. The post alleged that both the head of the household and, later, his son were seen physically assaulting the child on separate occasions.

The FIR further states that the videos were recorded from the window of a nearby flat and that the witness claimed to have seen the child being beaten with an iron rod multiple times during the night. The social media posts also included a photograph of the house and its location, along with an appeal to police to ensure the child’s safety.

Police have not released further details on the investigation and have not publicly commented on the allegations beyond confirming that a case has been registered.
