Bollywood actress Rashmika Mandanna has responded to social media users who criticised her husband, actor Vijay Deverakonda, following remarks he made about their marriage.
The couple recently appeared on the programme Koffee with Karan, where Vijay said Rashmika had asked him to marry her around 100 times. His comments prompted criticism on social media, with some users describing him as a “red flag.”
Responding to the criticism, Rashmika issued a detailed statement on social media, saying that judging someone without knowing their family or personal circumstances was not free speech but harassment under its guise.
Rashmika said she loves her husband and saw nothing wrong with repeatedly expressing her desire to marry him. She explained that Vijay needed time to think about the practical aspects of marriage, which she said did not affect their relationship or love for each other.
