The Punjab government has invited eligible residents to apply for interest-free housing loans under its Apni Chhat Apna Ghar and Apni Chhat, Mehfooz Chhat initiatives to support home construction, repairs and expansion.
According to an official announcement, eligible applicants can obtain up to Rs500,000 for home repairs, strengthening or extension under the Apni Chhat, Mehfooz Chhat programme, while those planning to build a new home can apply for up to Rs1 million through the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar scheme.
How To Apply
Applicants can submit their applications through the official online portal of the Punjab government’s housing programme. They can also seek guidance from Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) offices, as well as Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner offices across the province.

According to the programme guidelines, applicants must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, including residency requirements and other conditions set by the Punjab government. The scheme is designed to help eligible low-income families improve or construct their homes through interest-free financing.
