KARACHI, August 31, 2026: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) hosted the PSO Excellence Awards 2026 in Karachi, recognising outstanding dealer partners and reaffirming the company’s commitment to maintaining uninterrupted fuel supplies across Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by PSO CEO Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, Chief Commercial Officer Amir Zaib Khan, senior management and dealers from across the country.
PSO CEO Highlights Dealers’ Role
Addressing the ceremony, CEO Jawwad Ahmed Cheema said PSO’s responsibility extends beyond the size of its retail network, particularly when fuel supply is under pressure or demand rises.
He said PSO remains committed to supplying fuel across the country, including remote regions, while its dealers play a key role in delivering that commitment directly to customers.
Cheema said the fuel retail market is changing rapidly and outlined PSO’s focus on improving its network through better sites, service, standards and technology, while maintaining quality, safety and customer experience.
Dealers Recognised for Performance
Top-performing dealers received awards for achievements in commercial performance, health, safety and environment (HSE) standards, customer service and operational best practices.
Members of PSO’s commercial team were also recognised for their contributions.
PSO Plans Major Retail Transformation
During the event, PSO outlined plans for what it described as its most ambitious retail transformation programme to date.
The plan includes developing new retail sites, modernising existing forecourts, introducing greater automation, rebuilding the company’s digital and loyalty platform and expanding its non-fuel retail offerings.
With more than 3,600 forecourts across Pakistan, PSO said its dealer network remains a key part of the company’s efforts to support energy security and future growth.
