Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to introduce modern artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (IT)-based teaching and training methods in Danish Schools, stressing that educational standards must not be compromised.
Chairing an online review meeting via Zoom on progress in the construction of Danish Schools across the country, the prime minister ordered authorities to accelerate development work and ensure construction activities continue around the clock to complete the projects on schedule.
“Our children are the future of the country,” Shehbaz Sharif said, describing Danish Schools as an investment in a brighter future for Pakistan. He emphasised that maintaining high standards at these institutions was non-negotiable.
The prime minister further directed that admission to Danish Schools be granted strictly on merit to children from extremely poor and deserving families.
AI and IT to Modernise Education
Shehbaz Sharif instructed officials to adopt technology-driven approaches to improve students’ education and training. He also called for third-party validation to assess the quality of school infrastructure, facilities and services.
The move aims to ensure that the institutions meet the required standards as construction progresses in different parts of the country.
Better Road Access and Expansion in Former FATA
The prime minister directed the Ministry of Communications to establish an effective road network to improve access to Danish Schools in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He also instructed officials to present a strategy as soon as possible for constructing Danish Schools in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, formerly known as the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
During the meeting, the prime minister received a briefing on construction progress in Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sindh and Balochistan.
Federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Ahad Khan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar, Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Dr Musadik Masood Malik, along with senior officials from relevant departments, attended the meeting.
