Pakistani passport holders must meet four requirements, including a confirmed return ticket, hotel booking through Discover Qatar, and valid health insurance.
ISLAMABAD, October 31, 2026: Qatar has announced a free visa-on-arrival facility for eligible Pakistani passport holders, allowing them to stay in the country for up to 30 days without paying a visa fee, according to the supplied report.
The facility is also reported to be available to citizens of India and Thailand. However, the permitted length of stay depends on the duration of the traveller’s confirmed hotel reservation.
Four Mandatory Requirements for Pakistani Travellers
According to the report, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has outlined the following conditions for obtaining the free visa on arrival:
Valid passport: The passport must remain valid for at least three months from the date of arrival in Qatar.
Confirmed return ticket: Travellers must have a confirmed round-trip air ticket.
Hotel booking through Discover Qatar: Accommodation must be booked through Qatar’s official Discover Qatar website. Reservations made through other booking websites are reportedly not accepted under this arrangement.
Valid health insurance: Travellers must have valid health insurance issued by an insurance company approved by Qatar.
The Ministry of Interior’s published guidance confirms the four requirements and the maximum 30-day stay, subject to the hotel reservation.

How Long Can Travellers Stay?
Eligible Pakistani visitors may stay for up to 30 days, but the actual permitted period may be shorter if their hotel reservation covers fewer days. Travellers should ensure their booking and travel documents meet the requirements before departure
