ISLAMABAD, June 21, 2026: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will participate in technical-level talks scheduled to be held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland today (June 21, 2026). The discussions come as a follow-up to the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
According to the PMO Media Wing, the talks are part of ongoing diplomatic and policy-level engagement linked to the recently signed MoU in Islamabad. The meeting is expected to focus on advancing the agreed framework through structured technical discussions between the relevant sides.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, has already departed from Islamabad for Switzerland to attend the session.
Follow-up to Islamabad MoU
Officials stated that the Switzerland meeting marks the next stage in implementing understandings reached under the Islamabad MoU, with both political and military leadership directly involved in the process.
