ISLAMABAD, Oct 7: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday praised the Pakistan Navy for two major anti-narcotics operations in the Arabian Sea that led to the seizure of illicit drugs worth about $96 million.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the operations targeted drug smuggling through sea routes and were described as a significant step in Pakistan’s wider campaign against narcotics trafficking.

Shehbaz Sharif commended Pakistan Navy officers and personnel for what he called prompt and decisive action, saying the operations would help deter drug smuggling in Pakistan’s maritime domain.
