PESCO welcomes newly inducted officers after merit-based recruitment process
PESHAWAR — Peshawar Electric Supply Company held a welcome ceremony for newly inducted officers at its head office following the completion of a recruitment process for several key positions within the company.
The appointments were made for posts including Sub Divisional Officers (SDOs), Revenue Officers, Accounts Officers and other administrative positions after what PESCO described as a transparent and merit-based selection process.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman Board of Directors Himayatullah Khan, Chief Executive Officer Akhtar Hamid Khan, Director General HR Siab Ahmed and other senior officials of the company.
Speaking at the event, Himayatullah Khan congratulated the newly appointed officers and appreciated the HR team for completing the recruitment process with transparency and professionalism.
CEO Akhtar Hamid Khan said the selected candidates had secured their positions through a competitive process and expressed hope that they would contribute to the company with honesty, dedication and commitment.
More than 2,300 candidates applied for vacancies
Director General HR Siab Ahmed shared details of the recruitment process and said a total of 2,354 candidates had applied online for the advertised positions.
According to PESCO, 197 candidates successfully passed the examination stage, while 163 applicants were shortlisted for interviews under the prescribed rules and procedures.
Following the final selection process, 78 candidates were issued appointment letters strictly on merit, the company said.
PESCO officials said the recruitment drive was aimed at strengthening the company’s operational and administrative capacity through qualified professionals.
