Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member T20 squad for the Asian Games 2026, with Sahibzada Farhan appointed captain and Abdul Samad named vice-captain.
The squad will represent Pakistan in the men’s T20 cricket tournament at the Asian Games, scheduled to begin on September 24 in Aichi, Japan. The event will conclude with the medal matches on October 3.
The Asian Games T20 squad includes Sahibzada Farhan, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Arafat Minhas, Haider Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Maaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Salman Mirza, Saad Masood, Sufiyan Muqeem and Usman Khan.
According to the PCB, Farhan brings significant experience to the side, having scored 1,305 runs in 46 T20 International appearances, including two centuries and 10 half-centuries.
The tournament will also mark the international debut of four players. Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood are set to play their first T20 International matches for Pakistan during the competition.
The Asian Games cricket competition provides an opportunity for emerging players to gain international exposure while representing Pakistan on a multi-sport stage. Men’s T20 matches will be held in Aichi, Japan, as part of the 2026 Asian Games programme
