The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to publicly disclose how many players will receive central contracts or which categories they will be placed in, according to the board.
The PCB central contracts decision means the number of contracted players and their category-wise distribution will remain an internal selection matter. The board said contracts awarded under each track would not be made public.
According to PCB officials, the allocation of players in central contracts is linked to selection policy and will be handled internally rather than announced in detail.
Sources said the PCB has also introduced domestic cricket conditions for centrally contracted players. Players will be required to take part in first-class, List A and T20 matches according to their assigned track.
The contracted players have reportedly been informed about the expected number of domestic matches they may need to play. Sources said players could be asked to play up to five first-class matches and up to 10 List A matches.
Players have also been told to remain available for domestic cricket when they do not have international assignments.
Sources said players included in the central contract system will remain eligible for all three formats. They added that any player from any track may be considered for national selection if required.
