Pakistan Honours Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed on 68th Martyrdom Anniversary

The leadership of Pakistan’s Armed Forces has paid tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on the 68th anniversary of his martyrdom, honouring his extraordinary courage, devotion to duty and ultimate sacrifice in defence of the country.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff; and the Armed Forces of Pakistan solemnly commemorated the occasion.

Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed demonstrated exceptional bravery while leading his troops in an assault against enemy forces. Despite sustaining critical injuries, he continued to fight with determination and courage until his mission was successfully completed.

In recognition of his conspicuous gallantry and supreme sacrifice, Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed was awarded the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military honour.

On the solemn occasion, the people and Armed Forces of Pakistan paid tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed and all those who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country. Their courage, dedication and patriotism continue to serve as an enduring source of inspiration for future generations.
