Pakistan’s cricketers have returned home following their England tour, with Razaullah receiving a warm welcome at Islamabad Airport after an impressive all-round performance on his Test debut at Edgbaston.
The players travelled from Birmingham to Doha before continuing to their respective cities in Pakistan. Captain Babar Azam, Aazan Owais and several other players arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Razaullah Receives Welcome in Islamabad
Razaullah attracted attention during his Test debut at Edgbaston with an impressive all-round display. On his return to Pakistan, supporters and well-wishers gathered at Islamabad Airport to welcome the young cricketer.
His performance was among the notable moments for Pakistan during the England tour.
Babar Azam Set to Play Domestic Cricket
According to sources, Babar Azam has decided to participate in domestic cricket following the England tour. He is expected to represent the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) team.
The move will give the Pakistan captain an opportunity to remain active in domestic competition following the national team’s return.
Pakistan Penalised During England Tour
Pakistan’s tour of England also ended with disciplinary penalties. The team was whitewashed and was fined 50% of its match fees for maintaining a slow over rate.
The International Cricket Council also deducted 11 points from Pakistan in the ICC World Test Championship standings as a result of the over-rate offence
