Pakistan have moved up to fourth place in the ICC ODI rankings after securing victories over Sri Lanka and England, overtaking Australia in the latest standings.

Pakistan now have 103 rating points, just one point behind third-placed South Africa, who have 104 points. India lead the rankings with 115 points, followed by New Zealand with 109, while Australia have dropped to fifth.

Victory Over England Boosts Pakistan’s Ranking

Pakistan’s 87-run victory over England in the ongoing tri-series in Rawalpindi was a major factor behind the team’s improved ranking.

Young all-rounder Arafat Minhas played a key role in the victory, scoring 59 runs from 58 balls before taking six wickets for 40 runs.

Pakistan initially struggled after losing four wickets for 81 runs but recovered to post 302, with Hasan Nawaz scoring 79, Minhas contributing a half-century and Faheem Ashraf adding an aggressive 39.

England were subsequently bowled out for 215, giving Pakistan an 87-run victory.

Pakistan One Point Away From Third Place

Pakistan are now just one rating point behind South Africa and could climb further if they maintain their winning run.

The latest improvement also sees Australia move down to fifth place in the ODI rankings.
