BISHKEK: Pakistan secured an important early victory at the 6th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan, defeating India in the tug-of-war competition.
The head of Pakistan’s tug-of-war team, Nawab Furqan Khan, said the victory marked a strong start for the national team at the international event. Pakistan also won its second contest against South Korea.
Furqan Khan attributed the team’s consecutive victories to the players’ hard work, determination and strong teamwork.
The 6th World Nomad Games are being held in Kyrgyzstan, with Pakistani athletes participating in a range of traditional sporting events. The games bring together athletes from more than 100 countries and focus on traditional sports and cultural heritage.
