ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) held another Virtual E-Kachehri on Thursday, giving citizens from across the country a direct platform to raise complaints and seek assistance related to medical treatment, education stipends, financial support and rehabilitation programmes.
The online session was conducted from PBM Headquarters in Islamabad and was led by Managing Director Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt.
During the one-hour interaction, beneficiaries and members of the public presented cases concerning medical assistance, delayed or pending educational stipends, eligibility for PBM support and urgent financial difficulties.
According to PBM, the managing director heard the cases directly and issued instructions to the relevant departments for follow-up and resolution.
The session was aimed at improving access to social protection services for people who may not be able to visit PBM offices in person, particularly those seeking urgent financial or medical support.
Speaking during the E-Kachehri, Shaheen Khalid Butt said rising poverty-related challenges required a more proactive and technology-based approach to social protection.
He called for stronger systems to identify vulnerable citizens, assess their needs and respond to complaints more efficiently.
The PBM chief also directed officials to improve digitalisation, transparency, accountability and coordination between departments to ensure faster handling of public grievances.
He said the organisation remained committed to providing timely and dignified assistance to eligible citizens.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal provides support in areas including medical treatment, education, financial assistance and rehabilitation for vulnerable and low-income groups across the country.
