ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, July 28, 2026: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has promoted Abdul Mannan Choudhry from Director in BPS-19 to Director General in BPS-20 with immediate effect, according to an official notification issued by the organisation.
The promotion was approved by the Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal on the recommendations of the Departmental Selection and Promotion Board.
According to notification No. PBM/Estb/023/1597, Abdul Mannan has been elevated in the Accounts and Audit ex-cadre category.
Before his promotion, he was serving as Director in the Fund and Pension Branch at the PBM Head Office in Islamabad.
A native of Bahawalpur, Abdul Mannan has held several administrative positions during his public service career. He previously served as Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal in South Punjab, where he supervised welfare programmes and institutional assistance for disadvantaged communities across the region.
Following the announcement, PBM officers and staff from different parts of the country congratulated him on his promotion.
Senior officials, regional directors, assistant directors and field officers expressed confidence that his appointment would contribute to stronger administrative management and improved delivery of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s welfare services.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal operates under the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and provides financial assistance, medical support and other welfare services to vulnerable communities.
