UPPER DIR — A one-week short course on web development concluded in Upper Dir, with certificates awarded to more than 50 students who successfully completed the training aimed at enhancing practical digital skills.
The course was organized at E-Tech College Rehankot in collaboration with the District Youth Office Upper Dir and the district administration. The initiative focused on introducing students to modern web technologies and helping them explore employment and freelancing opportunities in the digital sector.
Focus on practical digital skills
Speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony, resource person Sajjad Ali Tareen briefed participants on the course content and highlighted the growing importance of web development skills in today’s job market.
College representative Zubair welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude to the District Youth Office for supporting the initiative.
Youth Chairman Rehankot Saimab Ali Khan assured continued cooperation and said similar skill-based programmes would be organized in the future to benefit local youth.
Encouraging youth empowerment
District Youth Officer Shahzad Tariq appreciated the efforts of the trainers and organizers, saying that such practical training courses play a vital role in preparing students for real-world challenges.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Lukman Adil, Sangeen Khan, and Abrar Wardaq. Shields and gifts were distributed among guests and course participants to acknowledge their contributions and achievements.
Organizers said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to promote digital literacy and youth empowerment in Upper Dir through collaboration between educational institutions and government departments.
