RAWALPINDI, October 28, 2026: Security forces killed nine terrorists during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts on October 26, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

According to the military’s media wing, the operations were conducted following intelligence reports about the presence and movement of militants belonging to what it described as the Indian-backed group Fitna Al Hindustan.

In the first operation, security forces targeted a suspected terrorist hideout in Kachhi district. During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place, resulting in the killing of seven militants.

The ISPR said security personnel dismantled the hideout and recovered weapons and ammunition from the location.

In a separate intelligence-based operation in Wadh district, security forces tracked and intercepted the movement of suspected terrorists.

An exchange of fire followed, during which two militants were killed, bringing the total number of terrorists killed in the two operations to nine.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered during the second operation, the military’s media wing said.

The ISPR described the militants as Indian-sponsored terrorists associated with Fitna Al Hindustan, a designation used by Pakistani authorities for certain militant groups operating in Balochistan.

According to the statement, sanitisation operations were continuing in the affected areas to locate and eliminate any remaining militants.

The military reaffirmed that counterterrorism operations would continue under the national vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

The ISPR said security forces and law enforcement agencies remained committed to combating terrorism and dismantling militant networks across the country.

It added that the ongoing counterterrorism campaign would continue with the objective of eliminating what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan.
