Indian singer Neha Kakkar says she is well aware that some of her songs are mocked and criticised on social media, but she continues to create them deliberately because people also enjoy dancing to her music.

According to international media reports, the 38-year-old singer discussed the trolling surrounding her songs during a conversation with actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Neha said she knows that songs such as “Barah Ladke Saath Ghoome” may attract criticism after their release, but there is a particular reason behind creating such music.

She explained that these songs encourage people to dance and are often played at parties. According to the singer, some people make fun of the songs while simultaneously creating videos using the same tracks and gaining views on social media.

Neha said she knows criticism is inevitable, but she also knows that people enjoy dancing to her music.

‘Candy Shop’ Also Faced Criticism

Neha Kakkar faced strong criticism following the release of her song “Candy Shop” in December 2025.

She worked on the song with her brother Tony Kakkar and also provided vocals for the track. Some listeners described its lyrics as inappropriate and indecent, while others accused the singer of attempting to imitate the style and appearance associated with K-pop music.

Despite the criticism, Neha Kakkar remains one of India’s popular singers on social media, with more than 76 million followers on Instagram, according to the information cited in the report.
