ISLAMABAD, October 21, 2026: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important message urging citizens to get iris scans registered for themselves and their children.
According to a statement issued by NADRA’s spokesperson, citizens should help secure their identities by getting iris scans conducted free of charge at NADRA offices.
The authority said iris scanning is an important measure for securing citizens’ identity information, and the facility is available at all NADRA offices.
NADRA urged citizens to visit their nearest office with family members and children aged three years and above to get the iris scan completed.
What Is an Iris Scan?
An iris scan is the third component of biometric identification and is being used to make citizens’ identities more secure and reliable.
NADRA said iris scans are being conducted free of charge as part of efforts to facilitate citizens.
