ISLAMABAD, October 26, 2026: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has established 43 citizen facilitation centres across 11 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under a $46 million World Bank-funded project aimed at improving public access to essential government services.
According to an official document available to Wealth Pakistan, the KP Citizen-Centred Service Delivery Project has achieved 72 percent implementation progress, with the establishment of the facilitation centres representing a significant milestone in the initiative.
The project is being implemented by NADRA to strengthen citizen-centred service delivery mechanisms and make public services more accessible and efficient across the province.
The initiative focuses on developing institutional infrastructure and expanding dedicated service delivery facilities at the district level, allowing citizens to access government services through designated centres.
The document shows that the project commenced on July 19, 2023, with an original completion deadline of June 30, 2026. However, the deadline was subsequently extended to December 31, 2026, to accommodate the remaining implementation activities.
The establishment of 43 centres across 11 districts is expected to improve the availability of citizen-oriented services and strengthen the institutional capacity for delivering public services.
With 72 percent of the project completed, the initiative has entered an advanced stage of implementation. However, 28 percent of the reported work remains outstanding.
The revised deadline gives NADRA additional time to complete pending activities and achieve the project’s remaining targets.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to improve public service delivery infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through dedicated facilities designed to make government services more accessible to citizens.
