ISLAMABAD: The MDCAT 2026 examination has been postponed on the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) announcing a revised schedule. The medical entrance test, originally planned for August 16, will now be held on September 20, 2026.
According to the PMDC, the decision was taken to ensure a transparent, secure, and well-organized examination process. The revised date gives authorities additional time to complete arrangements while maintaining the integrity of the nationwide medical entrance test.
PMDC Announces Revised MDCAT Schedule
The PMDC confirmed that only the examination date has changed, while all other eligibility criteria, rules, and examination arrangements remain unchanged.
The council said the revised schedule is intended to support the smooth conduct of the exam and ensure fairness for all candidates.
