UPPER DIR, November 8, 2026: A two-month digital skills development programme for more than 50 students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s merged districts has concluded at Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal, providing participants with practical training in digital marketing, freelancing and graphic design.

The programme was organised by District Youth Affairs Upper Dir in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to equip young people with skills needed for online employment and entrepreneurship.

During the training, students received theoretical instruction and hands-on experience in digital marketing, online freelancing platforms, graphic designing and related technologies.

The initiative aimed to help participants develop professional and creative skills while exploring opportunities to earn income through digital platforms.

Officials from District Youth Affairs Upper Dir said digital skills had become increasingly important as online employment and freelancing continued to create opportunities for young people, particularly those seeking to work remotely.

They said training in modern technologies could help students improve their employment prospects, develop independent income sources and participate more effectively in the digital economy.

The programme also focused on strengthening participants’ practical abilities through exercises designed to familiarise them with online marketplaces, digital promotional tools and graphic design techniques.

According to the organisers, the collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa formed part of efforts to improve young people’s access to skills development opportunities.

The training concluded after two months of academic and practical activities at Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal.
