Man Seriously Injured in Alleged Assault at Kasur Home; Police Launch Investigation

KASUR: A 36-year-old man was seriously injured in an alleged assault at a house in Gulberg Colony, Kasur, after being invited to the residence by a woman, police said on Tuesday.

According to police, the injured man, identified as Shahid, a resident of Chungi Amar Sidhu in Lahore, had allegedly been acquainted with the woman, Asia Bibi, for about one and a half years.

Police said Shahid visited the woman’s house on Monday night, where an argument reportedly broke out between the two. During the altercation, the woman allegedly attacked him with a sharp object, causing severe injuries.

Officials said the woman’s husband, Aslam, later arrived at the house. Police allege that Shahid was assaulted further before authorities were called to the scene.

The injured man received initial medical treatment before being shifted to Bulleh Shah Hospital for further care.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault. No official statement has been issued regarding charges or arrests at this stage.
