Rawalpindi: The Armed Forces of Pakistan solemnly commemorated the 60th martyrdom anniversary of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider). Major Raja Aziz Bhatti was remembered for his extraordinary bravery and ultimate sacrifice. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff; General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Air Staff, collectively paid tribute to his extraordinary bravery and ultimate sacrifice. Their presence at the commemoration highlighted the enduring respect and deep admiration the Armed Forces hold for their national heroes.

During the 1965 War, Major Raja Aziz Bhatti defended the Burki sector near Lahore with remarkable determination. For five days and nights, he stood like an iron wall against relentless enemy assaults, refusing to yield ground. Moreover, his unwavering resolve and exemplary leadership inspired his men to display unmatched courage in the face of overwhelming odds.
