Teachers seeking transfers to Peshawar from other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will face a temporary halt after the Elementary and Secondary Education Department directed officials not to issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for such transfers.

The restriction applies to several teaching cadres, including PST, CT, CT-IT, DM, AT, TT, PET, Qari/Qaria and SST. District Education Officers have been instructed not to issue NOCs for transfers to Peshawar for teachers in these cadres.

According to officials, the decision has been taken to address staffing requirements and maintain a balanced distribution of teachers across districts. The restriction is specifically limited to NOCs for transfers to Peshawar and the cadres mentioned in the department’s instructions.
