Kotli Evening Review Meeting of Day One of Polio NIDs Campaign Held

An evening review meeting of the first day of the Polio National Immunization Days (NIDs) campaign was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office in Kotli to assess progress, coverage, and field performance.

The meeting was chaired by Ms Iffat, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Kotli, and attended by senior health officials including Dr Fida Butt, Dr Talal, Kamran Gorsi, Assistant Director Surveillance, along with Mr Asghar and supervisors from various union councils.

During the session, union council supervisors presented field reports on team deployment, vaccination coverage, and community response. Officials reported that overall performance on the first day remained satisfactory across the district, with no major refusals recorded and strong cooperation from the public. Monitoring and supervision arrangements were described as effective.

Chairing the meeting, the ADCG appreciated the efforts of the district health team and frontline workers. She stressed the need to maintain the same momentum and quality during the remaining days of the campaign to ensure full coverage of all target children and sustain a zero-refusal status.

Health officials highlighted the importance of continuous monitoring, accurate data reporting, and timely information sharing. Field teams were directed to focus on identifying and vaccinating missed children, with special attention to hard-to-reach areas, while maintaining high operational standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants reaffirmed their commitment to continue the Polio NIDs campaign with full dedication and to ensure that all eligible children in Kotli district are protected against polio.
