Former provincial minister and senior politician Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti, while addressing a press conference at the Timergara Press Club alongside Nawab Muhammad Ghazan Khan, Muhammad Zahir Shah, and others, stated that he has inherited property in District Dir. However, certain land mafias are engaged in the illegal and unconstitutional buying and selling of this property.
He mentioned that his inherited property in District Dir comprises 148,156 kanals of land, and a petition regarding its distribution has been pending in the High Court since 2016. He alleged that unnecessary tactics are being used to prolong the case. Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti warned those involved in the illegal buying and selling of his property to refrain from such activities to avoid financial losses.He also appealed to the district administration to take action against these land mafias. In response to a question, he revealed that despite a court stay order on his property, the buying and selling continue, which amounts to contempt of court. He advised the public to avoid purchasing his property to steer clear of legal complications.
