Karachi police have arrested the alleged main suspect, identified as Babar, in connection with the disappearance of mobile phones belonging to 59 girls.
According to police, the suspect allegedly lured the girls to a location on the pretext of offering them jobs before fleeing with their mobile phones.
Police arrested Babar from Gadap and recovered 40 mobile phones and a pistol from his possession. Authorities said the suspect was allegedly transporting the phones for sale.
Police further stated that other suspects allegedly involved in the incident had already been arrested. According to investigators, Babar allegedly planned the incident.
Police are also checking the criminal record of the arrested suspect as the investigation continues.
