KARACHI: An Additional District and Sessions Court South has rejected the interim bail pleas of three suspects accused of assaulting a young man, Ali Jafri, in Karachi’s Defence area.
Following the court’s decision, two suspects, Ibrahim and Ali Faisal, reportedly fled the premises. The interim bail of a third accused, Artiza, was cancelled because he failed to appear before the court.
The complainant was represented by Advocate Talha Baloch during the proceedings.
Court cites mobile phone videos
According to the court’s order, mobile phones were recovered from arrested suspects and reportedly contained videos relevant to the case.
The court noted that the suspects have been nominated in the case, while their individual roles will be determined during the investigation.
The court further observed that the accused had not been arrested, preventing investigators from questioning them.
The case was registered against the suspects at Sahil Police Station in Karachi.
