ISLAMABAD: A major medical conference on the latest trends in dermatology, anti-aging, plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine was held at Serena Hotel Islamabad, bringing together doctors, surgeons and healthcare professionals from across Pakistan.
Organised by the International Academy of Dermatology, Anti-Aging & Plastic Surgery (I-DAAP), the event focused on new treatment techniques, patient safety, evidence-based practice and emerging technologies in aesthetic and reconstructive medicine.
International and Pakistani experts delivered presentations on advances in dermatology, anti-aging treatments, aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery, with discussions centred on improving clinical outcomes through modern, scientifically supported approaches.
Experts Stress Patient Safety and Evidence-Based Care
Speakers said aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery were evolving rapidly as research, technology and clinical techniques continue to advance.
They stressed that patient safety, professional training and evidence-based treatment should remain central to practice, particularly as demand for aesthetic procedures grows.
The event was attended by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, dentists and other healthcare professionals from different parts of the country.
Among those present were I-DAAP Chairman Maj Gen (Retd) Dr Zafar Iqbal Sheikh, President Dr Bilal Shams, Dr Neelum Ayub and other medical specialists.

According to the organisers, I-DAAP plans to continue promoting research, professional training and higher clinical standards in dermatology, anti-aging, aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery in Pakistan.
