Interfaith youth study tour promotes dialogue and cultural understanding in KP

PESHAWAR: More than 60 young people from different religious, social and professional backgrounds participated in an interfaith youth study tour aimed at promoting dialogue, tolerance and cultural understanding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The one-day study tour was organized by the Culture Literature Arts and Development Organization in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chandan Development Association.

Participants visited the historic archaeological site of Takht-i-Bahi, where they were briefed on the region’s Buddhist heritage, Gandhara civilization and historical significance.

Organizers said the initiative was designed to encourage interfaith harmony, peaceful coexistence and awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

During the visit, participants observed the archaeological site and exchanged views on mutual respect, inclusivity and dialogue among different communities and faiths.

Focus on youth engagement and harmony

CLADO head and tour organizer Abdur Rehman said such activities help young people understand their shared history, culture and social values.

He said the initiative aimed to promote positive thinking, social harmony and stronger trust among people from different backgrounds.

Abdur Rehman added that the organization would continue arranging educational, cultural and social programs for youth to support peace, tolerance and shared human values.

Participants described the study tour as an informative and meaningful experience that encouraged respect, unity and understanding among diverse communities.
